STANDARD LINE-UP
Rosie Eade plays gigs and festivals as a solo performer throughout the UK:
vocals & acoustic guitar
Stage requirements: 1 vocal mic, 1 di for guitar pickup.
A small PA can be provided, suitable for small to medium sized indoor venues such as pubs and folk clubs.
Rosie Eade is also sometimes available as a duo:
+ duo with Jon Maybey on mandolin/electric guitar (South-West area)
+ duo with Niall Robinsons on percussion and backing vocals (South-West area)
+ duo with Simon Stanley on bass guitar and backing vocals (Oxfordshire area)
+ duo with Lesley Conquest on fiddle (Kent area)
Rosie loves playing as a band with the above musicians...
But this option is only on special request and totally dependent on
geography, fee, and availability of these talented in-demand musicians.
Past gigs have included semi-acoustic setups with cajon and percussion,
and also very occasionally "rock" gigs with electric guitars and drumkit.

BIOGRAPHY
Rosie ("Folk-Pixie") Eade: Singing out her love of folk, rock and thrashing her
old nylon strung guitar behind stories of people, places, and gin.
Rosie Eade "Folk-Pixie":
"Combines the lyricism of singer-songwriterdom with the attitude of rock'n'roll
", (Rock-n-Reel, 2020).
Inspired by Kate Bush and The Who as much as Steeleye Span, Rosie sings stories
of people, places, and gin, written over many years gigging solo around the country, from a
party in a field to Glastonbury’s Avalon Café, arranged around her love of folk,
rock and thrashing her old nylon strung guitar. Her new album "Folk Pixie" celebrates her roots
as a solo acoustic-folk performer with songs from the beginning of the journey to
her most recent creations of 2019.
"Sonically superb" (BunkFest Main Stage, 2016).
"An appealing touch of English folk influences ... clear and sonorous", (Bluesbunny, 2018).

WHAT TO EXPECT
See VIDEO and MUSIC tabs.
• Standard sets are half original folk/rock inspired songs written by Rosie, and half covers of a selection of her
favourite folk songs and covers of bands who have inspired her musical journey, with audiences encouraged to sing-along.
Folk Covers: e.g. King's Shilling (Mirk), Crazy Man Michael (Fairport Convention), Queen of Argyle (Silly Wizard), Blackleg Miner (Steeleye Span), Broomfield Hill (Show of Hands)
Rock Covers: e.g. Look What They've Done To My Song, Ma (Melanie), Behind Blue Eyes (The Who), James and the Coldgun (Kate Bush), Wild Horses (The Rollings Stones)
• Rosie is happy to weight the set more towards "traditional folk" for folk clubs, and more towards covers for pub gis - just let her know what you'd like.
• For special events Rosie will consider specific requests for covers
(past examples have included songs for the first dance at weddings, and favourite songs
for birthday events) but advanced warning is required, preferably of a few months so she can apply her own personal magic!
• Fees are negotiable, taking into account the travel and accommodation costs, the aim of the event (e.g. charity, corporate),
whether PA etc. is provided, and most importantly the availability of guest tickets, food vouchers and fun (especially wrt festivals!).
